An ongoing and meaningful relationship with individuals and families in long-term recovery is a powerful resource and greatly improves long-term recovery success. MAPs Peer Recovery Support Specialists’ (RSS) primary goal is to support each patient’s recovery and to detect signs of a relapse and/or deterioration. This early detection allows us to directly assist our patient’s in course correction increasing the probability of positive outcomes.
To accomplish our goal of recovery support and long-term recovery, we work with patient and their family to identify relapse behaviors and provide the tailored support they need. The patient is partnered with a MAP Peer RSS to help guide and support them on their journey of recovery utilizing phone/video sessions as the primary form of contact. Our trained and certified Peer RSS, who have 3+ years of long-term recovery, are uniquely suited to provide this service. They understand the challenges early recovery can present because of their own personal experience and MAP training based on thousands of meaningful sessions we have conducted. To date, our recovery support team has helped thousands of individuals and families transition to a balanced, healthy life and find long-term recovery.
